Serving Nebraska's Vulnerable

because the soul has no disability

We are caregivers.

Our office isn't your typical law firm. Years ago we saw that the need for more guardians & conservators was outpacing those willing to serve and we wanted to do something about it. We found that the solution was to create a firm to serve in this role and that's when NGC was born. You are invited to contact us if you have a need that we can serve.

Who you'll meet on our team.

Barry S. Grossman

Barry is the firm's attorney. He represents us in our capacity as a decision-maker for others. Often this includes filing our annual reporting, appearing for NGC at Court hearings and ultimately assisting us with the protection of all whom we serve.

DianeRenee L. Yovel

DianeRenee is the firm's Case Specialist. She is responsible for the day-to-day wellbeing of everyone we serve. She attends care plan meetings, doctor appointments, and makes other arrangements for care. You can think of her as a social worker, but better.

Tracie J. Ouren

Tracie is responsible for administrative support in the office. She answers the phone, directs calls, responds to emails, coordinates the calendar, and generally keeps us all running smoothly.

Molly M. Blazek

Attorney at Law

Owner & Founder

Molly has been an attorney in Omaha for over thirteen years. Her interest in serving the vulnerable comes from the experiences she had while living with her depression-era grandfather, Emil, while attending law school at Creighton University. Many of you might recall Emil as a teacher at South High. Watching how the world slowly dismissed his value because he was elderly ignited an unwavering passion in her to protect the vulnerable.

Guardianship & Conservatorship

Guardians and Conservators are appointed by a Court when an individual is found to be incapacitated or in need of protection. Sometimes this occurs due to disability, age, or mental health. Often we are approached by the Court to serve in these roles for individuals who have no one else willing or available. Families also contact us as part of transition planning when the current guardian or conservator can no longer serve. We currently serve for over 30 individuals and are expanding our staff so that we can continue to provide this valuable service to Nebraskans.

Trustee

Qualified trustees are needed to administer trusts for the benefit of others. Sometimes this is a family member or a financial institution. When there isn't a family member to serve, we've found that financial institutions are only attracted to trusts with high value. In fact, we recently learned that in order for a certain bank to serve as Trustee of a Special Needs Trust, it requires the trust be over 1 million dollars in value. That's a lot of money! Banks also don't offer the personal attention that a family member typically would. To bridge this gap, NGC offers this service which combines the personal attention we're used to in guardianship with the financial management we've experienced in conservatorship.

Health Care & Financial Power of Attorney

NGC provides peace of mind by serving as Health Care Power of Attorney when someone else can't. NGC also manages finances as Financial Power of Attorney when it is needed.
